Buying a computer for my health

At work, I have a nice big L shaped desk. On top of that desk is my laptop.  I have liked laptops over the years because I have had many jobs on the road and they are nice and portable.  I have had a laptop for the last six years at my current job and my current one is three years old.  Well having a laptop on top of the desk and a crappy office chair combine for bad ergonomics.  I've been feeling a lot more wrist soreness and tingling lately.

Also, the computer is sooo slow.  I click and wait all the time. Not so good for the mental health.  Yesterday it was so bad, I decided it was time to take action for my physical and mental health. I called the computer guy, set a budget and he is working on specs for a great new terminal. I decided I want to switch to a desktop and a keyboard mount so that my set up is better for my body and it is also cheaper to get a fast desktop.

It will take a few more weeks for this to sort out, but I'm excited for this next small step that will have a big impact.
